I recently had the top end clean performed at Toyota also, but they did it a bit differently. They used an induction delivery tool to deliver the cleaning agent. I've been using seafoam for years, but this tool had me so impressed that I had to buy one. They aren't easy to find, but I purchased one form here:
QMI Products - Edwards Engines
It's the tool on the far right. It very slowly sucks the cleaning agent into the top end and "atomizes" it by mixing I with air as it gets sucked in. If you think 8 minutes is a long time, this tool takes about 40 minutes for a 16 oz can of seafoam with the engine at 1500 rpm. Very little smoke while product is being sucked in, but same smoke effect after it soaks and you drive aggressively to blow it all out.
I wish the drip vial on the tool was more rigid, but other than that it's awesome.
