DizzyDoyle Build Thread

Just took it to the body shop and they are going to take it in tomorrow. I do not work at the seed development place. Very close though. I am in a rush to find a bumper , ome lift kit and some wheels and tires. If you have any suggestions , I know you had or have an ome lift. What did you think of it? I am looking at ARB bumpers but want something a little cheaper.

Got you. I do have the OME lift. I have 883s up front with bilstein 5100s and 890s out back with stock shocks. I plan to replace the rear shocks this week or next with bilstein 5100s too and might be throwing in some LC 7.5 wraps. I do like the OME lift. The only reason I am changing out the rear is bc I want some rake and it is pretty level right now. The ARB bumpers are nice! They do have a price tag to go with their niceness. I got lucky with my tjm back in the day. I will keep an eye out for any ARBs or anything like that.

Thanks man , yeah i am going to drop it off at the body shop tomorrow. I hope I can get a bumper ordered this week. I need to grab some ome stuff....best place to get ome stuff?

I have dealt with ToyTec Lifts and Wheeler's Off Road for that stuff. They have helped me a lot and when I had questions they answered them every time.

Would those forestry roads happen to be "open to the public?" I came down to Athens Town for Clean, Old-fashioned Hate. I'll be here until Sunday.

They are open to the public. unfortunately the gate to the forest is closed on the weekends. If you have a big piece of metal you can throw it over the gate and hope the magnet picks it up. That is what we do when our key cards don't work. Sorry I am just now seeing this. I was at the game and really wish it had turned out differently. Let me know the next time you are in Athens. Here is my number, it would be awesome to see your amazing 4Runner in person!

Yeah game sucked and I would def like in on one of those trail rides. I have to drop my truck off at the shop tomorrow , arb will go on tomorrow and ordering the ome lift . I just need wheels and tires. I know it wont stop there but thats where i need to be right now lol
I may need help tracking down a set of wheels and tires. Did you sell your tundra limited wheels?
I also may need help putting the lift on. Money is tight but I am willing to pay someone to put it on or help me put it on

So today I took care of my P0133 trouble code. I replaced my front o2 sensor with a Denso 234-4162 o2 sensor from amazon. Process was extremely simple especially with all of the resources here on t4r.org.

The other day I also cut a bit off of my tailpipe. I got the idea from GVL and I have to say I like that it does not stick out so much anymore. Plus I do not have any exhaust fumes coming into the vehicle.

Hopefully I can get in a new fuel filter this week and in the next few weeks get in some new rear shocks and the 7 wraps.

I bet it will look awesome with that ARB on there. The game did suck as well. Horrible play by the Dawgs. The trails are nothing to brag about esp since I am 2wd but they are fun to ride on. There are also a bunch of fs roads down off 15 in the Oconee National Forest. I hope to get out there and explore those once hunting season is over. I will gladly help you install your lift! I have not done the rear too much but 706t4r has done it many times. I def know the front end better. But we can help you knock it out whenever is best.

I dont care how light the trails are , i like any trail. I love exploring old trails and getting thr runner a little dirty. its all fun to me small easy trails are sometimes the best. I used to take my 4x4's out to a place that was just dirt roads and there was a cool river crossing . Yeah I would appreciate any help with the lift. I am slightly mechanically inclined, but def not great.

That sounds good man. I am down to go ride anytime. Feel free to hit me up. I am also back out at the Whitehall Forest so you can also find me out there. Plus that is were some roads are that can be explored.

Alright man I've got everything , I just need to slap it on, although I'm not sure how to put the Arb on . It has instructions lol . I may just pay someone to do it .

Finally got my 7 wraps in thanks to miles and 706t4r. We started putting in miles' lift but it turned out he had the light duty ome setup when he wanted the heavy duty one. So we will tackle that one in a week or so.

Hell yeah man it looks great! Now The sucubus next week. I am doing the arb tomorrow about 5 o clock if you want to come watch man. Its out in jefferson but it will be cool. He has a shop and a lift . He is the ase cert master toyota mechanic I was telling you about. he can answer any question you have about a 4runnner

So after installing my LC coils I was having trouble getting the rear sway bar connected. So I went the route of 2nd gen links. No real pictures just the two side by side... I hope to get my new fuel filter in soon and possibly straighten my tjm. Other than that just trying to help miles get his lift in. We have attempted it twice so far and each time something has worked against us. His 4Runner is now named Sucubus and the VIN # even has 666 in it. hahaha
