Turned out great! The only thing I don't like are the squared off shackle mounts.

All I used is a grinder,drill and a welder.

I'm going to try and round those off with my grinder.. :S Or should I just cut the corners ?

Been busy with the my finals,christmas and diagnosing why my truck is getting 8mpg but here's an updated picture of the bumper.Still need a few cosmetic touch ups before getting a final coating.I also have to install my turn signals and led spot lights in the 4" holes.

I have 2" led round turn singals and a 3x3 square led pod(rigid dually style) they re very bright!

All you used was a grinder drill and welder!!!! I actually just got a welder yesterday obviously I have a drill. Did you use the grinder to make the cuts?

Yep just a grinder! Practice your cutting first. I usually start with a score line letting the grinder "walk" on its own.I did get the pipes bent at a fab shop..

The rear is going to have a tire carrier and will have a very low profile .
Oh by the way, its still missing the lower center piece.I'm debating on using the same steel or some thick aluminum for some contrast.

i think an aluminum plate would be sweet!

I saw your truck the other day, it caught my eye and i figured you'd be on this forum. Love your front bumper it turned out great. Good to know their are some others on here from ottawa!

Good work man. Turned out very well. If its not totally impolite to ask, how much do you have in materials for the bumper build? I'm impressed with your skills.

To tell you the truth I have no clue how much I have in materials.Probably around 250-300$ just because I was going back and forth to the metal shop instead of grabbing 1 big batch of metal.I also ended up with some spare pieces.All in all , it was well worth the money and satisfaction of building my own bumper instead of paying someone. I can't wait to build my rear bumper but i've been so occupied with my engine problems and now I might have head gasket problems...
