do 4runners come with block warmers?

i have an AC plug on my passenger side....is this a block warmer? i can't imagine what else it would be...but a block warmer on this car seems kind of odd. it seems to run down to the lower portion of the engine.

You can get block warmers for it but I think it was a dealer installed option. I don't think it's odd unless the thing came from the south

If it's a cable loose hanging from inside the vehicle, then more than likely it's a block heater. Up in Alaska, those were pretty standard on all cars and trucks at all dealerships, and I know they were optional equipment in several states as well (possibly even Colorado). You don't really need one here in the Denver metro, though. More than likely it was installed with it (or added) and may have been driven here to Colorado. I know I drove a car from Alaska to Colorado and then sold it here with the block heater still installed.

yeah i wouldn't put the effort into taking it out, it does get very cold there every few years just like Washington does, and it's a nice feature, are they ever really needed in the lower 48? nope not for the most part, are they nice to have from time to time, yep i like easy starts on cold mornings.

I use my block heater everyday............................................. Not! Actually I don't think I've ever seen one in person before... Hmm, neato...
