Do I have a dash light out?

I either have a light out or I have not noticed this in three years. Tonight I got in my truck and noticed that nothing was lighting up on the fan speed nob (far left of the three) except for the arrow. On the A/C nob the up temp down temp etc lights up. It seems like I remember the circles on the fan speed one lighting up or something? Can someone verify this? '04 model

When you turn on your parking or headlights the markings on the fan speed switch should be illuminated (OFF, LO, 2 dots for the intermediate fan speeds and HI). My vehicle is a 2003 4Runner. You may have a bulb behind the switch that is burned out.

I had the same problem on my '03 when I bought and the previous owner couldn't remember if it ever lit up or not... There is a small bulb in there that needs to be replaced. The bulbs are only $1 or so for 2 at radioshack so I just replaced all the bulbs in that panel so they would match in brightness.

This thread shows how to change it. The thread shows an LED swap, which I didn't do, but it also shows how to get to the bulb & what kind of bulb to buy.

I thought I remembered it being backlit. Thanks for the replies. Think I might just go ahead and do LED's. Anyone know of a good place to get them?
