I been searching a forum and google for answer but only found how it works etc. I'm trying to find a picture of front shocks with x-reas to confirm if I have it or not. Recently I noticed small tubes just like a brake lines going to my front shocks. I seen them on rears before and thought it was rear air suspension.
What is a sure way to find out if my T4R equiped with x-reas?

Those lines coming out of the shocks are a sure sign of X-Reas...also if you look underneath the truck on the frame rails about mid car there will be a canister like thing that has yamaha labeled on it. IIRC, if you have air suspension then you also have X-Reas.

I have rear air for sure, used couple times. I was so hoping I don't have x-reas. They probably expensive as hell to replace. I think swapping with Toytec 3" Ultimate lift kit would be cheaper (and a better looking) option.

This thread talks about the issue. http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=51369&highlight=xreas

I think the easy way out (if you like XREAS and want to preserve it) is to watch classifieds here and at T120 for low-mileage, takeoff struts.

I like the ride with x-reas or I rather say I don't know what it feels like without one. But I like a looks of a Toytec 3" Ultimate kit a lot more :D I'm under platinum Toyota coverage for next 3 years so I'm not really worried of getting replacement shocks. At least for now.
I will definatelly remove the system when will be ready for lift

Mmmm, I've seen several threads in here how to ID if you have XREAS :nono:
