Do I need a chipped key for my glove box?

Hello. I've been searching for a while now. I have my OEM chipped key. I want a second key just to lock/unlock my glove box with my gun in it. Can I get a cheap eBay blank and have it cut?

I suggest getting a gunbox instead of using your glove box, glove box can be broken into easily.

If you are looking for a more low profile key blank, I think most home improvement stores like (HD and Lowes) have an all metal flat blank that fits the Toyota key cylinders. I had a copy made at HD, just as a spare to carry on my key chain. It's much less bulky since it does not have the thick black plastic top portion.
