do I need a special cam/crank seal tool?

Getting everything together to do the timing belt etc replacement done. Saw where there are special tools to remove and install the crank and cam seals. Are the tools really helpful or necessary or just a nice to have item? Thanks

I use a simple screwdriver to remove seals. And I've always had a socket large or small enough to install a seal. You can also install a seal by using a small hammer and a suitable punch to tap it in by taping top-bottom-left-right.
