Do I need brake fluid and PS fluid change on my 2018, 27k miles

I need my oil changed. Should I get my brake fluid and power steering fluid changed? It's a 2018 with 27k miles. Also, I can't find straight diff change schedules. I don't off road but do keep the 4x4 exercised. What is the change interval for that?

I'm keeping the 4runner.

My wife has a 2019 with 10k miles. It needs an oil change. What about brake fluid abd PS on that one?

You do need to have those 2 systems flushed eventually, but 27K mi seems a bit soon unless there is another compelling reason to do so. Check your owners manual to find Toyota's recommended intervals, IDK what they are offhand.

The fluids in both systems absorb moisture and they wear out. And you don't just replace the fluid in the reservoirs, the entire systems need to be flushed, especially the brakes, as the fluid does not circulate thru the system like the PS does. So the moisture built up in the calipers can cause the pistons to seize.

I plan on doing them myself. It's no big deal. I just looked it up on YouTube. I was only asking because of age. I think I'll still do it. It's cheap. I did the rear diff in my last 4runner.

Have you considered a refresh? Suction out old fluid to near bottom of reservoir-then refill with fresh!
Examine fluid removed-is it servicible?
If yes, then existing fluid plus new is even better.

Is it viable to just drain the radiator and not do the engine block drain and in a couple years do the radiator again? Thanks

Yes, I've 2004 4th gen 4 runner and I drained block only once. Just radiator drain is fine. Remember to burp air out after refilling.

So I bought an oil extractor abd went to do my power steering fluid on the 18. It looked pretty bad. I have never used one. Online talked about how slow they are. That thing sucked it all out before I knew it. It took me a moment to know what happened. I got it filled back up then took 40 minutes working all thr air, and pulling the foam, out of the system. It's good now.

My 19 doesn't look bad. I'm doing the pull and add method on that one.

Better to change PSF every year. It's a small system. Just a baster to empty the reservoir and refill. Brakes every two years is ideal, I just hate bleeding brakes and would rather hand that off.
