Do i really need to remove my battery to change my front driver side DRL/turn signal bulb? Easier way?

Anyone know the part number?

Try again... I was able to get to mine. It wasn't easy but I was able to jam my fingers in there.

Take the other side out first so you're familiar with how it feels as it comes out and goes in.

1156A bulb.

I.m carrying around the part number for an 04 (4157). $5 for a two pack at pep boys. Looks like going at it from below will be best, but I've only looked, not tried it.

For an 03/04/05, changing the DRL/turn signals is only possible from the bottom unless you have super long arms.

For 06 & up (what the OP has) the only thing in the bumper is the fogs and the DRL/turns/side markers are in the headlight housing.


I was able to change both high and low beams on my 04 w/o removing the battery but it was tight and I was working blind. I did the passengers side first (as suggested above) to get a feel for it all.

Thanks. I was able to get to it without taking our the battery although it would have been much easier.

I took out the bulb, and it wasnt blown. I put it back in and it works fine now. What else could it have been? My blinker was flashing 3x as fast so usually that means the bulb is going right?

Could be a filament on its way out and moving the bulb "fixed" the issue, temporarily. While you had the bulb out I would of just put a new one in.

Had the same problem after going to some clear bulbs. The issue was the filament making intermittent contact. I could actually see it "spark" at the corner where the filament connected to the main wire. Jiggle it a little, and the filament itself would light as normal.

Just bought another bulb.
