Do OEM sideview mirrors come painted?

I have a 2006 SR5 and one thing I don't like about it is the ugly black sideview mirrors on it. The black mirrors and chrome grill on the SR5 reminds makes it look more like a truck than a SUV - I want that sleek luxury look. Should I get it painted OR order a set of Sport/ Limited (heated) sideview mirrors from the dealer? Question is does it come factory painted?
Another thing about the SR5 is that, even though I go the optional 17" wheels (2005 Limited ones are the same) they still look small. Looking from the rear the wheels/ tires are not online with the side of the fenders and from the rear they look puny. I'm thinking of getting the 18" Limited ones but they still run 265/ 60s -eh? Sorry for the off topic.

If you get an SR5, as I did, the mirrors are black and the grille is chrome. Also, the roof luggage rack is black. Would I want body-colored mirrors? Yes. Would a silver/chrome roof rack look better? Maybe.

Do I want to pay more for it? No. I still love my SR5 and would recommend the same vehicle to others. Maybe I'll get something else next time around, but I'll keep my '05 bone-stock for now (especially since I leased it).

Best wishes to you with your 4Runner, whether you keep the black mirrors or not.
:D

P.S. The 17" rims are fine-looking, easy to clean and 'match' the truck quite well. Of course, that's just my opinion.....but I think Toyota did a great job with the whole truck.

Yes, replacement mirrors come painted and can be ordered from your dealer. I'd stick with an 03-05 mirror because the 06 Limited mirrors might be different due to the memory function, 06 Sport Editions should be fine too. I also remember reading on here that you can add the heated mirrors since the wiring is there, not sure if anybody ever confirmed this. It'll probably be cheaper just to have them painted.

The 18's won't make that much of a difference, the tire sizes between 16, 17 and 18 are all approximately the same, so you'll probably notice little to no difference. My 16's and 17's were pretty much the same size but I liked the 17's better.

Hope that helps you.

Mirrors and Rims Pic

Don't get me wrong I absotuley love my 4runner; it gets better everyday I drive it. I have a champange taste with a beer budget, so anything I couldn't afford the big pimpin' Limited model. I was even looking at older 4runners and I think their mirrors were color-keyed. I think I might just order some from the dealer. I have a friend that works at the lexus dealer and I'll see if he can get me a good price.
Is their a difference in the 06 mirrors than the 03-05?
Plus it'll have the heater element and I can hook up that option, even though sunny socal doesn't get that cold - maybe when I head towards the Sierras. I just don't 'trust' the paint jobs with some autobody shops.

As for the rims they are selling on ebay:

$800 w/o tires...hmmm.
Maybe I'll wait a couple months for some used ones. You know maybe some Limited owners will upgrade to some 20s or 22s or something. I want to keep the tire pressure monitor system - that is why I want to get stock wheels. Also, I think they look real mean looking and I can still take it off road.
