Pat your either a very brave or crazy guy I keep thinking about buying a Harley and every time I do, I start thinking about how most people drive and I start looking at buying another 7000 lb Dodge 1 ton dually It's just to scary out there

Just ride like everyone's out to kill you and you'll be fine .

I'll probably be looking for a bike this spring.

It is scary at times, but I've been riding since I was 10 or so and had my first street bike as soon as I turned 16. Here in MA you can ride alone w/ your learners permit, that first bike was an 1100. I do occasionally use most of the bikes performance, but mostly I just cruise around, just nice to have the power there. Like another said assume people don't see you, or ignore you, and you should be fine. If you ride long enough you are guarunteed to get in an accident, everyone I know has.

Accident on a bike means missing arms and legs or wheel chairs for life. Guy that use to work for me got hit by a Nun lost his right leg. Everytime I get up for a bike people start telling me all these horror stories. I think I'm just getting to old and realizing that I break pretty easy. Hell I get nervous driving my wifes Z and it is 3200 lbs and got great crash test ratings.

If I have to be in a crash, I'd rather be in a Z over a 4runner any day. The safety standard differences between cars and trucks/suvs is pretty sad. Manufacturers are getting better with their trucks/suvs in crash tests but they're still trailing car safety. You can't compare the safety ratings either so even if the 4runner has 4 star ratings, a car with 3 stars would be as safe or safer (generally speaking).

I've been riding bikes since I was 13. I've been in a few close calls and 2 accidents, one with a broken arm and $3000 worth of damage to my bike. I've learned my lessons and have since taken the Motorcycle Safety Foundation course and ride not only like I can't be seen but that everyone's out to get me. Seriously.

The US should copy the rest of the world with licenses that limit the displacement of bike you could ride. I've seen of lots of 18 yr olds getting their M endorsement and going out buying the fastest bikes they can with no experience. And the gov't (DMV) do nothing about it. There's no real education on driving cars or bikes. People think driving is a right, not a priviledge.

For my weekend speed fix I have a 97 honda accord w/ an H22 in it. Again as most people said it's not the fastest car but compared to the t4r it's quick.

24runners and stoker8 are living my dream...having a SUPRA and a 4RUNNER. having the greatest of both worlds! I'm jealous!!! I'm 19 and dependent on my parents. I'm just lucky i even have a 4runner.

I had both my Runner and a 12 second '93 Eclipse but sold the car so I can afford a house but I see either a Subi STi or an EVO sometime in my future;I just love the AWD/turbo combo.

Get the VW .:R32!!! AWD/V6. hehe. Thats my 'future' car, too bad theres only one generation of the r32. =( but the Evo and the STi both look awesome too. Man...i'm so poor!

The R32 is a sweet car but kinda soft in the performance dept. when compared with the Mitsu and EVO but if I wanted a daily driver the VW is a better car but I'm looking for a track car right out of the box plus aftermarket for VWs isn't cheap plus the moddability factor is bigger with factory turboed cars.

haha! yes we are...i do have the key tho..lol..maintenance costs,its free till 100,000--starmark certified used car..got it last year---current mileage is 28000
