The individual grate bars look like a pain to setup. My friend has a similar product he bought on Etsy, but the ends are Jeep grates (I always joke its a jeep in its natural state, unmoving and on fire).

Would be more interested in this if it was easier to setup, and/or if it had a bit more interesting or toyota flair to it.

I’d weld at least half those suckers in place, leave just enough to be able to put mesquite charcoal in.

I'd assume this breaks down to store completely flat, you probably shouldn't weld them unless you wanted to transport it that way.

I like the bar design it looks like it should resist warping.

This can be easily broke down and put back together. This grill was designed for maximum air flow.

I'm in the market for something similar to this, but I'd like it for putting over a campfire. I'm not a fan of charcoal cooking at all.

If you can create something similar to these Campfire Mesh Grill and Flat Plate Combo 46x33cm | BCF or Base Camp Campfire Grill – Campfire Cookshop making sure it has a flat plate on one side and keep it under $100 then I'd be a buyer.

Check out slatgrills by slatworx. Similar concept, less the charcoal. Popular for backpackers in the BWCA. Originally went for $110 but it looks like their website is down.
