Do you leave your front license plate on?

I don't see what the big deal is... 4Runners look just as good with a front plate as they do without.. Plus I don't see the point in throwing away money that could be better spent not paying fines.

In Georgia I didn't have a choice because you only get one plate. Maybe I should have put it on the front, and not the back, and see what the cop thought of my brilliance when he pulled me over.

I am in TX. Last time I ran a front plate was in 1983. I have never had one on any of my 4Runners or the G35. I was actually pulled over today for the first time in years while in the '08 Runner. The police officer thought my registration sticker on the windshield was expired. He was in the middle of the sentence about me not having a front plate when I handed him my drivers license stacked on top of my concealed handgun license. Two seconds later I was being told to have a nice day.

I totally agree, you can't do that in VA! Gotta have front tags on.

I am also in NC and no front plates are issued. I have thought of getting a VA look-alike, non-plate, as the VA highway patrol like to ticket out of staters.

Asking for a ticket in IL to not have one on front. I didn't like where the dealer put it, so I did this. There was a little trimming involved.

There for the plate. I've have them on my truck as well.

I had one on my 96 up until 4 years ago when it got bent bad from me not caring that I didn't have a lift or lockers I was making I was gonna make it over that obstacle that recommended minimum 33's and 1 locker. But I've been in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Utah, and Nevada. And have never been harassed about my lack of a front plate. So as far as I'm concerned the south west is safe to go plate less on the front. Fwiw I got CA plates.

No, its like a bump stop for the plate so it doesn't touch the rest of the bumper.

haha i was thinking the same thing, and im suprised more people havent said anything about that. My front plate is in my house.

in virginia it's a state law to keep them on. It's annoying and is BS, but, it is what it is.

They're little plastic thingies called nylon nails. I used them to fill the holes the dealer drilled in the bumper. Barely noticeable from a few feet.

No front plate here in Pennsylvania, but lots of people have their own vanity style plates. It's common to see auto dealer advertising plates, fire department id plates, sporting team plates. I used to have an aussie flag plate on mine, but now have a winch roller fairlead in my bullbar.

Personally I think vehicles that have a dedicated location for the plate that is left empty looks terrible.

Here in Hawaii it's the law to have one in the front. There are, however, a lot of guys who try to push their luck anyway. If the holes weren't already there, I would just run my truck without it...looks so much better without.
