Do you like this deal?

I found a 2000 SR5 Sport 4WD with 101k miles on it with a 4 inch suspension lift, TJM brush guard and wilderness brand roof rack for $8600.

Timing belt was changed 5k miles ago and has brand new michelin tires.

Have only seen pictures and will drive it this weekend. If everything checks out, do you like this deal?

Sounds reasonable, but take a real good look at the front suspension set up, 4 inches is EXTREME for 4Runner IFS.

If it has been taken care of and that lift is legit that is a good deal IMO, but like Techno said that lift is on the high side for an IFS 4Runner. It must have a hell of a diff drop or the CVs could be binding at full droop.

Not a bad deal if everything checks out. However, I personally will never buy a modded car. Just my personal thing. One exception I guess is if it's from a reputable member on here or something.

I appreciate the feedback. This was the crazy plan going through my head when I saw this...

Please note that this 4runner is a 2000 SR5 Sport and mine is a 2000 SR5. I have always been jealous of the sport models and I was thinking of taking off the hood and bumpers and putting it on my SR5. Then I was thinking about taking the TJM grill guard and putting it on mine. I was going to sell the roof rack and see how much it would cost to lower it back to stock and sell the suspension lift. I would probable swap out the tires too since they are brand new. Then my plan was going to be trying to resell it.

Like I said, crazy plan and don't even know if it's worth it all. I thought the price was low enough that I could sell it back for the same price stock or a little more.

I agree with Pnut on this...I would never buy a modded car unless it was one of your guys that I know did EVERYTHING right, etc...

Make sure they did a diff drop, and even if they did, check out the CV's...4" is big

Now as far as keeping all the extras and reselling, I've done that kind of thing MANY MANY times with everything from computers to xbox's to cars...so if you can get most of your money back out of it, do it :D
