Do you prefer steak or lobster?

Ill take a steak over lobster... but ill take crab over lobster when it comes to my surf.

That said, if I go out to a nice place, I generally do a surf and turf kinda deal if I can.

I went out with my brother for a travel dinner and went hard... 24 oz dry aged prime ribeye, stone crab, king crab, oysters, and wine... Opulance during a meal is quite nice; I wish I could afford that more often haha.

I used to prefer steak over lobster (I really like both though) but it seems I have a harder time digesting red meat these days so now I prefer lobster. Spent a week up in CT last year and ate lobster and crab everyday, it was awesome!

I'm typically more of a steak person, myself. But if I'm on the coast and fresh seafood is offered (be it lobster, clams, scallops, whatever may present itself) I'll usually go for that.

If it's a great cut of meat, and it's prepared perfect medium rare, then I'll take the steak. Otherwise I'll take the lobster. Harder to screw up a lobster and even the average ones are still a treat.

Steak I like lobster can’t say I love it but I like it. Maybe if I ever got to visit New England I’d be more of a fan of lobster. I’m sure Red Lobster in Oklahoma City isn’t a Mecca for great lobster chefs. I do love crab cakes that’s hard to beat

Depends on the cut of steak, and on the style of seafood.
A good ribeye I will probably take first. I don't really like seafood from places like red lobster etc., but seafood Mexican style(mariscos) wew!! now that is delicious. I would probably take that over the steak.

I had to Google Mariscos... never been there, but the food good looks pretty dang good.

Ill have to see if I can find one around here, looks solid.

That said, I think its a lot easier to find a good steak, then it is good sea food, at least for a given price of a typical meal.

Steak. Filet mignon. But comes with a caveat. If I'm at a good steakhouse that also serves lobster, I'll always choose a steak. If I'm at a good seafood place that also serves steak, I'd choose lobster (or more likely some other form of seafood).

I've had fresh lobster in Wooster, MA and Halifax, NS Canada & it was absolutely delicious.
- but the smoked salmon, in the Halifax Market...was to die for & real expensive, but never found a good local source

I grew up on a beef & pork farm, as a kid / I grille a mean steak now, but our adult son wants a homemade burger instead.
- a special burger, fries and large draft in downtown Toronto cost him $48
- my "BBQ'd Dad burger", is just as good...just different
- like a lobster meal, while travelling to the East coasts
Because I grew up around a lot of red meat / good Lobster, is always a special treat.

I'd say Lobster, being that steak is easier to get... But then again, spend top dollar on steak, and it's always a great experience.

I guess a good surf and turf meal is ideal.

I'm a hard core red meat guy, so steak would definitely be my first choice. However, I do enjoy a good rock lobster tail now and then, as long as I can get cocktail sauce with it.
