Dobinson Shock 701 vs 705 Comparison

2019 Runner - We have had Dobinson suspension in our truck for a year now. I have had a few Runners over the years with OEM Coils and 5100's. Stock. OME Coils and shocks, etc. My issue has been since we went Dobinsons Twin Tubes, 1.75" front spring with stock rear height (.5" they say 220lb coil), it has been a lumberwagon to drive. Until we started driving other friends Runners and other trucks did we notice. This is my wifes truck she DD's and 99% on road. I hop in it once and a while and notice these things. So digging into it I am curious if my rear shocks are the "heavy-duty valving". Truck is stock weight, nothing really added for weight.

Current setup (waiting to verify with Dobinson what rear shocks I got)
GS59-700 Front Strut
C59-300 Front Coil
ASSUME: GS59-701 Rear shock
C59-323 Rear Coil

My question is- with coils being a hair firmer than OEM and possibly HD rear shocks, am I the only one who hates the ride of this suspension? I know we don't test it offroad much and hammer dirt roads at speeds. But here in NY our roads are crap with every feature you can ask for on our highways. I just feel like even hitting the smallest crack in the road the truck is load inside and rigid. No "PLUSH" feel anywhere.

Reading and building kit online I find it hard I would ever opt for a HD Shock option knowing we want a smooth ride. But even if I go ahead and order the GS59-705 "Soft ride valving" They have online, will it help?

Has anyone tested or compared the 701 and the 705 shocks? Debating going back to OEM coils f/r with 5100's. Front set at .85". Tried and true. I remember it driving amazing yet just firmer than stock for brake dive and sway.

Tires are 17" Wildpeak Falken AT3's @ 32 psi all around.

It seems like the description for the 701s indicates it’s for light to heavier loads, whereas the 705s are softer.

I have a similar Dobinsons setup on my '14 with the 705 rear shocks. No expereince with the 701, however my overall ride is also much firmer than stock. I like the planted/ controlled feel and don't find it harsh at all. Mostly city driving for me too, but streets around here are pretty smooth with few potholes. Swapping to the softer rear shocks might make some difference, but if the spring rate is already too firm for your liking the trouble may not be worth it.
