Does anyone install an exhaust tip on your 04 4Runner?

Greetings:

Does anyone install an exshaust tip on your 04 4Runner? If so, are you happy with its look, quality etc? Effectively the slanted black exhaust tips doesn't match truck Titanium color. The chrome / stainless steel finish would be a better choice, don't you think? Your feedback and advise is greatly appreciated.

Yes......Like some others on here, I had the resonator cut off and turned the tailpipe out the side with a stainless tip welded on. Looks good!!

Side tip

Went out the side like Momo in order to avoid exhaust in the back window and to gain departure angle clearance. As suggested, do a search.

Chrome Tip

I was lucky enough that my dealer was letting me pick out an accessory of my choice due to all the problems I have had with my new car. I took the tip out to my T4R and tried it on. End result, I did not like the look with the tip out the back. If those of you that have had it turned out to the side could post a pic, that would be very cool. It sounds like something I would like to do because will help because it will help with leaving the back window down not to mention the smell !!! It is a matter of taste and I think the tip looks great. However, I would like to see it out the side.

Thanks for your quick reply Momo.75, you sold me!! I really like the look of that; it completes the look of your ride. I had a peek at the magnaflow site and found a few local dealers. I will be on the phone to them tomorrow.

Do you use a regular metal hand saw to cut the tip?

I added the tip, IMO it looks pretty cool. Sort of like my RX330's tip....

I just used a sawsall but a hacksaw would work.

I'm not sure. I never ride with the rear window down.
