does anyone know about a recall for 2002?

HI JUST WONDERING HAS ANYONE HEARD ABOUT ANT RECALLS FOR A 2002 4RUNNER MINE IS THE SPORT EDITION 4X4 IF THAT HELPS.

If you are the original owner Toyota will mail you recall info. Do a Google search. Look for an ALLDATA site that includes TSB's etc.
There is a balljoint recall but my VIN was not effected.

There was a recall on the front-suspension ball joints for 2001 and 2002. It was around last June and I have not received my recall yet. Some of our members have had it done.

Yup theres a recall on the lower ball joints. call your local dealer and have them run the VIN to see if it applies. the recall number is SSC 50J. should take a few hours to complete.

yep, i have an 02 4x4 SR5 4Runner, only recall i can recall is the lower ball joint, which i am getting done next week when i get my 95k check up done! yay! no more threat of my wheels falling off... now just to make it till wed!

i got it done even though it didnt apply to my truck.. i just went to the dealer and acted all freaked out about it and they did it

well at first i pretended i got a letter, then when they looked it up, they said i shouldnt have gotten one

so thats when i was like "well i dont trust this! this is unacceptable!" blah blah and it got done :arrow:
