Does front and read spacer lift reduce towing abillity?

I am considering getting a cornfed 3/2 lift but want to make sure it isnt going to negatively effect how much or how well I can tow.

My thoughts would be that raising the center of gravity will increase the chances of stability being lessened. How much (to what extent) it would affect towing I could not say.

I guess thew main thing with towing will be to get the hitch reciever at the right height for whatever you are towing.

I would also add air bags to the rear springs if you planned on towing after a spacer lift. I am not sure what the specs are on the metal (usually aluminum) used for the spacers, but in the rear, you would be adding 500 lbs or more to a small surface area on the spacer which could cause damage to the spacer (unlikely, but aluminum isn't as forgiving as steel). The air bags would help to redistribute the weight evenly across the spacer.

I haven't done a lot of towing after my cornfed lift and bigger tires, but what towing I have done I haven't noticed any change in stability. Honestly, I can't tell the differnce in towing from before to after the lift.

The times you did tow how much of a load were you towing?

My goal is to get a 3/2 cornfed lift, and 265/75 revo's. I would be towing with a weight distribution hitch and a 2 axle pacific trailer weighing around 4500 lbs loaded.

I've pulled both a 2 axle and single axle with loads up to around 5k. I have the stock hitch. I think I have the 265/75 Revo's but can't remember off hand.

I have a 3in lift and tow. Spend 100 bucks on the airlift 1000's. Had about 500lb of wood for the porch in the rig this weekend. Before I loaded up I just used the compressor to fill the bags - well worth the $.

This site and the people on it are amazing.

I'll post pics once lift is done. Going to go offroading mear Mammoth in August. Last time I didnt have enough clearance and kept getting dinged with rocks.
