Does plasti dipping your emblems on a black 4runner look good or keep it with chrome?

i have an all black 4runner with chrome on it should i plasti dip the emblems wheels and grill or keep the chrome on their? has anyone done it to their black runner?

I say hit the wheels and grille with Plasti Dip, but leave the badging alone. That's my opinion, but it's really up to your taste.

well deffinitly the wheels! but the badges would be easy to do, but im open to ideas if not black are their better colors? what do you think?

I just recently plasti-dipped my badges on my black limited. I left the toyota logos chrome because i did not want the grille to be a big black mass plus the headlights tend to complement the chrome emblem. I think it looks great. Being as this is my first post and it is the middle of the night, i dont have any pictures ready. If you want to see what it looks like, i can post some up for you.

Chrome is disgusting IMO so black it all out is my answer. I was against bling on cars before Rob Dyrdek made it cool to "murder out" your ride.

I think If you black out your front grille and leave the front and rear emblems chrome...take the toyota emblem on the rear off and plastidip the 4runner emblem

I plastidipped the smoke chrome on the front grill, front emblem, and front bumper valance as well as the rear emblem on my black sport edition. I was planning to get a color matched limited grill but the matte black finish on the grill, emblem and valance go well together.

How did you guys plasti dip the grill?
did you tape it off or just take it off?
i have a brush guard so i cant just tape it off with it locked in....
any ideas?

take the brush guard off? you'd have to do it regardless of painting on the truck vs off the truck, am i rght?

i would plastidip the grille only, debadge the rear, and leave the T emblems chrome. Then either debadge or leave the side words chrome

I have my front grill painted black and the rear plastidip. The plastidip overtime against the black does almost have a grayish tone. It matches the windshield wiper in the back. I removed all the emblems and also painted the T's. Just did the door handles this weekend with the plastidip. I like the all one color look no chrome.
