Does TE windshield has rubber seal on top edge?

My TE had the windshield replaced couple days ago.
But I noticed today that the windshield top edge space between glass and frame is empty, without any rubber seal embedded in it.
Not sure whether they missed this part or it just not there.
Could somebody with a TE let me know if your windshield top edge has rubber seal embedded between glass and windshield frame? I saw a SR5 has rubber seals embedded but not sure whether TE is the same.

Actually there is rubber in the area you mention but it is not on the face of the glass as it is at the edges or bottom. Without a close look the rubber could appear to be 'missing'.

Actually there is rubber in the area you mention but it is not on the face of the glass as it is at the edges or bottom. Without a close look the rubber could appear to be 'missing'.

Thank you for your reply. I think I do find that there is a black rubber strip in the gap. But it is really lay flat in the gap. So there is big gap space between the glass and the roof frame part. Does yours looks like below in picture?

The rubber above your replaced windshield is actually more prominent than my factory install. There is space (a gap?) above my windshield. I suspect it's all part of the installation kit your glass installer had to work with and has nothing to do with the integrity of the install itself.

I've gone through four windshields on my Cummins/Ram and they all look a bit different. The real test is to turn the hose loose on it.

Thanks for your confirmation. I am now comfortable about the hidden rubber seal and will give a host test soon.

Sorry but whenever there is a windshield question I feel obligated to answer (because its the only time where I actually know what I'm talking about).

When you got your windshield replaced the shop probably used a different moulding than what was stock. I wouldn't worry too much about this as it isn't the rubber piece around the windshield that seals it from the outside. That is done by the urethane which is applied to the glass which is then carefully placed along the frame and pinch-weld of the vehicle.

A good moulding can prevent moisture from collecting along the pinch-weld and prevent rust over the long term. Talk to the installer and ask what moulding he used and why. If you aren't satisfied with his answers go to someone else. Worse case scenario you're looking at around 350 bucks to get the whole windshield replaced - but there are other, better options that I won't get into here.
