Does the 3rd gen have a model name?

I know that a lot of cars have certain model names (for example: a 2001 Audi S4 was considered a "B5" S4, a 1995 BMW M3 was a "E36" M3 and a 2003 BMW M3 was an E46 M3 and so on) Does something like that exist for 4Runners?

what you are referring to is the chassis code. They do this w/ a LOT of JDM cars. of course the 4runner has one, but most don't use it.

Yeah I was hoping it would. B5 S4 sounds much more natural than VZN 185
