Does the 4th Gen look better with a Spoiler?

I would agree that it all comes down to personal preference. I ordered mine without one. I just looked at the functionality. Will it really do anything to the truck? Maybe, at high speeds, which you shouldn't be driving your truck in that way, you might get some down force. But, its still an SUV, not a sports car.
Looks, I don't know. Honestly, in my eyes, it all depends on the color of the 4runner. They look better on some 4runners, but not all colors
If it is an issue for looks, a long step bar, a toyota exhaust tip and xenon lights for my plates made my silver 4runner look better than it would with a spoiler
Just out of curiosity, for those who recently installed it, are they heavy and did you have to drill into your car to mount it?

I may be biased cuz my 04 SR5 doesn't have one... but I was looking at one with a spoiler in the parking lot yesterday and those things are hideous... looks like a big plastic blob stuck onto the back of the hatch... doesn't even look factory to me... just something else to break off in the car wash.

I wasn't too sure if I liked my spoiler when I bought the truck. It looks bulky from a side view, but from other angles it looks okay. It wasn't until I drove on the highway in the rain that I really appreciated it. It blows a blast of air down over the window and keeps it clear of water- really cool feature.

Even if you don't buy one with a spoiler now you can always add an after market in the future. That is what I had to do with my 05. The only difference in the yota spoiler and the after market is price and the light in my after market looks to be led or knock off led. Still looks great though.

I think like some of you said before, one of the great benefits of the spoiler that it directs air down the back of the SUV where without a spoiler, there will be no flow.
I don't have a spoiler. So I have to air flowing down the back window. I could be driving in the rain I would literally see the raindrop slowly move down my back window while driving 55-60 mph.
On a summer day, I opened the back window and my sun roof because the weather was great. What happened was the heat from my engine was being sucked into the car. I felt hot air coming in through my dash and by my feet. I know at the point my back window was creating great negative pressure in my cabin. When I pulled my back window half up, the heat still leaked through my dash, but not as much as before.
Did anyone experince this or is there something wrong with my runner?
Also, for those who have spoilers, did you encouter this before?

No spoiler for me
Easier to mount my kayak onto the roof without the spoiler. Plus, without the spoiler, i can open the rear gate with the kayak on top

i don't like how the t4r has that long front bumper that sticks out like a huge hose.... at least it's balanced out by the trunk/roof spoiler. i say it's a must have.
