I sat in one yesterday and compared to my 3rd Gen it felt huge. I felt like I was in an F250 when looking over the hood. Over all I liked it. Interior gauges are not my thing and it is a little biggger than I think it needs to be, but the new 4R is at the top of the list when my 3rd gen dies.
Does the new T4R feel BIG 2U?

That's probably cause you're comparing to 3rd gen. I've driven both 2nd and 3rd gen's and the size of them is really nice. It doesn't feel big and bulky and it's almost like driving a car. I drove a 4th gen and that felt big to me, so I'm guessing if you were going from a 4th gen to the 5th gen, the difference wouldn't be that great, although I think the 5th gen will feel a little bigger, but I'd have to sit in the 5th gen before I can say for sure or not.
It looks bigger on the outside but doesnt feel like it behind the wheel, in my opinion. My old 3rd gen had excellent throttle response. The 5th gen seemed a bit lazier, but then again I didnt drill it too hard on the test drive. One size does not fit all. Its a matter of preference and practicality. Love the capacities over a hatchback crossover.

i currently have a 2006 V8 and test drove a 2010 SR5 last week and it felt HUGE to me as well. i totally understand why the proximity sensors and/or back-up camera is standard on the 5G. the bigger size/feel wasn't entirely a negative/bad thing, but the analogy to an F250 is apt. it also seemed to handle a bit more "trucky" compared to my 4G. i didn't think the throttle response was all that impressive, but like 4Ryder, i didn't punch it with the salesman beside me 
when i got back into my 4G it felt like a racecar, though. the V8's torque is hard to miss—it's there as soon as you step on the pedal. my 2¢.
