Does your Tranny do this??

Maybe I am paranoid, but when go to work in the morning, the tranny seems like it is slow to shift from 2nd to 3rd and it gets up to 3k rpm maybe a bit more. When it is warm.....it seems fine. But I don't remember that happening before. I have had the fluid flushed, but I was suspect when I noticed that the drain bolt area was wiped clean! So I went back and said FLUSH not DRAIN and he said he would do it again...I still don't know. It was a Mobile 1 service shop and I told them Synthetic....But...if you mix synthetic w/ regular that came with it and they didn't flush it all out...what happens?? I am freaked out that they drained it still again the second time because I don't see any place where it was wiped off around the cooler lines that come out of the radiator. Am I tripping out?....Sorry for the long post Thanks...B

Yes it will shift differently. There is an additive that will smooth it out. I read it on the YotaTech site somewhere.

You should be OK. When they drained it the second time, that should get the remaining reg ATF out of it.

Thanks guys.....I never cared before and now I put only Mobil 1 in and everything has got to be perect. They should warn you that when you buy a 4runner it will make you obsessive copulsive and you care more about it than any other car. Plus spend $$$$
