Dog Owners - check this out

Finally my dog won't be falling off the seat. This this is long overdue. I just wonder how well it holds up to claws:

i just fold my seats down...it's basically the same thing...

The folded seat thing doesn't work out for me because my dog is a bulldog and not very big. I tried it once and he was sliding all over the cargo area.

My dog slides around with the seats down also, especially with the hard surface of the double decker thingie. But the way the seats are slightly sloped my dog stays securely sitting or laying in the back seat. But I guess if your dog has already fallen into that area then they would serve a good purpose. Thay are a little expensive though.

I put my lab in the back behind the seats, but i need to get 1 of those grate things to block her from jumping to the back seat.

It fastens to the front and rear headrests and and covers to opening to the floorboard.

I thought your dog was in the drivers seat, except for those rare occasions when he lets you drive his truck!!

I put the grey nylon side on the seat, felt side up. My Cocker Spaniel slides too much (going around a corner) on the nylon. It also keeps him from climbing into the front seat.

I got mine about 20 years ago from a working dog supply place that I haven't been able to find a link for. It has outlasted 3 dogs! In 1 week it starts on number 4. Here's apicture at 7 weeks...and I know she's not in a 4runner but she will be

You put your dog in the back seat!!?? I never do that, as I hate dealing with the hairy mess. My dog (aka The Amazing Sparkmeister) just loves the area in the back. He has a great view, and likes to hang his head out the rear window. He thinks this area is his dog house on wheels.

I hate leashes except for when i take my dog on a walk. She is still a pup right now, only 13 weeks old, but when she gets older to clear the back seats, thats when i'l get the grate. My other dog, she is a 90lb rottweiler, she usualy just hangs out in the back, but she tries to jump forward if i even step out of the truck.

I still plan to get a seatbelt restraint harness for added safety. Something like this:

Adding a small access hole to the hammock for the seatbelt receiver should be easy. Two friends have bought hammocks after seeing mine. I hope it works out.

Sometimes he lets me chueffer (sp?) him around. Here is where he made me take him off-roading.
