doing my 2nd lift

i got my lift complete, just bought some land cruiser coils off a 94 4wd
but i think there 8 not 9 how much lift with that give me?

i just ordered my 882 ome front struts and springs.

now i tried to install my rear springs but with my spaccers i couldnt get my axle low enough to pull out the spring any help with this?
i broke one shock absorber because i didnt know i was supposed to take it off hahahaah

oh well ranchos just installed last nighht.

im just waiting for my rightfully mine tax money to get my bf mud terrain 285/75/16

i plan to go wheeling so im debating to get a 1 inch bl..

just felt like making a post cause im hella stoked for my lift,
im probably selling my 3 inch spacer so if anyone wants to buy it let me know hahaha

they say the 8 wrap lifts anywhere from 3-4.5 inches, i never heard of the nine wrap... so i could be wrong on the number above...


this is what you need to get the springs off

- Harbor Freight Tools - Quality Tools at the Lowest Prices

or similar....


can't wait to see how it looks i've got all of this stuff in the back of my truck as we speak and am hoping to save me some work by seeing how the 8 wraps do on your runner with the 882's, i also have some 7 wrap lc coils just incase the 8 wrap is too much, i also have a 3/4" spacer lift for the fronts too just incase....

i love my truck as is but its too low for a so called 3 inch spacer.. i think my springs were just worn out or maybe its cause the tires

well if you beat me to it let me know how it is, ill do likewise
 
once u undo the shocks and sway bar end links that rear end had more than enough room to install 891s

i'll be doing a write-up on it this weekend, look for it on monday, i think i'm going to start with the 7-wraps just because from eyeballing them they look as if they will settle about even with the spacers and 882's on the front.

Well that's the ting I had the car all jacke up ad the sway bar was off and the shock abosrbrrs were too I think I have to unbolt those two bars holding the axle right?

I didnt have to. What helps the most is puttin a jack under the opposite side that you're working on, that'll bring your side down. Just jack it as far as it'll go without lifting the truck off the jack stands and it should slide right in and out. If I did it, by myself, with a broken foot in a cast up to my knee, anyone can. :surfer:
 
i just installed my lc's this morning took me hours! seriously woke up at 10 finished at 3.. i dont think you can do the lift without a compressor even if you dont have the 9 wrap nnomatter what the coil would not fit..

heres my 8 wrap 4wd compared to my stock with 3inch spacer...

its high as hell in the rear and i love every inch... i still have the front 3 inch spacer waiting on my ome coils and 1inch bl and ires!!!!!

you absolutely can....I did it by myself in my driveway with a broken foot wrapped up in a cast

You can't use a spring compressor on the rear anyways, they're made for coil-over struts


Looks awesome BTW...looks just like mine before I did the OME fronts...what springs and struts did you get for the front?
 
my fronts are just 3inch spacers, no i had the truck jack up all the way it might be because i didnt unbolt the bottom arms, but, my brake lines and all the wires were pulling so much when they seemed like they were about to snapppp
but i did it with a compressor ha
i had to umbolt the entire compressor inside the spring
tough job but i did it.
 
Just for future reference, I know some people have used a heavy duty ratchet strap to compress the rear coils enough to squeeze them in.
