FWIW, when I had my knuckles all the way apart as part of installing manual hubs into an ABS knuckle, I did put on Tundra/Sequoia dust shields. The 4Runner shields were already trimmed to fit Tundra brakes, but they were rusted to bits, so I just got new ones that didn't need trimming.
But yeah, absolutely not worth it at all to take that hub out just to replace a dust shield.
EDIT: Further tidbit - Tundras and first gen Sequoias use the same knuckle, same part number. When I did my manual hub swap I didn't want to have the truck apart for a long time while the presswork got done, so I got some 'donor' ABS knuckles from a pick-n-pull. Since there weren't any good looking (i.e. not to rusty, not hit in the front) 3rd gens I got a pair off a Sequoia. And took those and the non-ABS manual Taco knuckles off to a machine shop with new bearings, seals, dust shields.
And after a couple of weeks, they gave up and told me to come take it back because they couldn't get the hubs to press out. Second shop got it done in a week or so. Glad I wasn't waiting with the truck apart for a whole month.
