Don't buy Bosal exhaust

Long story short, my muffler rusted out on my 2001. I shopped around for a muffler and decided on a Bosal. Reviews were decent and the price was right. I got the muffler and put it on in November.

July came around and the muffler was rattling. It sounded like a broken baffle. It did have a warranty so I called JCWhitney and had them send me a new one. I get the new one, same part # and everything. The inlet was made too small. It wouldn't fit. I contacted JCWhitney again and they said they were sorry for the mixup and would send me another new muffler. I gave them what should be the right size of the inlet port and they assured me that the next muffler they sent to me would be correct. It wasn't

Now I had 3 mufflers, 1 broken, and two manufactured incorrectly. I contacted Bosal directly and the customer service guy said he would stop production and would look into the problem. Apparently tons of mufflers were made by them in the wrong size. He made me a new muffler meeting the correct specifications and sent it to me. I sent the others back to JCWhitney.

Three weeks ago I finally put the correct replacement muffler on, and today it breaks. Same rattling I had with the first one. Broken baffle again.

Good customer service, but making bad mufflers for the time being. Just a warning.

In my experience, aftermarket mufflers don't seem to last long. The Cherry Bomb Vortex lasted me a little less than 2yrs before it rusted up and started cracking. I had two Flowmaster 40 series. One lasted me ~10 months before a baffle broke inside and started to rattle. Got a new one to replace it. 2 months later, a baffle broke inside. I'm still driving with the broken 40 series, rattling away until I get annoyed enough to replace it.

I don't know what the hell yall are doing to your mufflers to destroy them but I've had my magnaflow for like 3 years now, if not longer.
