I feel like you in a lot of ways Falls. I have always had GMC or Chevy Trucks and SUV's. With the exception of one Jeep. I do however think that the new 2008 Tundra is more beefy than any other truck out there other than maybe Dodge! As for your other question. Most of the people I see driving 4runners are Women as well. However, that being said. And this is not meant to be sexist. But I only notice the women driving them during the week which leads me to believe that most, not all of them are probably just driving their husbands vehicle during the week. My Fiance actually gets a kick out of it because everytime I look at a 4runner I look for two things 1) a T4R.org Sticker and 2) Whether its a man or woman driving it!!! Because when I look on the weekend All I see are men driving the 4runner! So I don't know. But in no way whatsoever do I think the 4runner is a girly SUV! A girly SUV is a Jeep Liberty or a CR-V or Highlander. The 4runner is one of the original mainstream offroad type SUV's!!
