Took my '04 Runner in for service today. I bought the extended warranty and was told that all maintenance for the first year was covered (ie. free). Service "advisor" informs me that the pollen filter is not covered and I'll have to pay $59.00.
I politely ask him if the pollen filter is part of the recommended service. He tells me yes. Then I tell him I won't be paying for it but I expect it to be changed. He agrees.
Why I had to even argue this point, I have no idea.
