yeah, its in the "new" rules...

I lucked out and saw those. not sure if everyone else did. Ill be honest, seems like a dumb rule. I think there are gonna be people that are gonna try and respond and let the mods or OP know that its a spam post and it could cost them.
 
Wow, glad you said that Elton. I woulda been banned for sure. Does everyone that posted on the thread before and after the SPAM get banned?
 
Driffter, COB, and I were talking about that.. Why the hell do they have a smiley waving a spam sign then? To encourage people to mark a spam thread with a spam smiley, and then ban them.?? Stupid. Same as the "sh!t happens" smiley. They made new rules about using that word, but they encourage it with the smiley (which I think they finally did disable).
 
meh it's normal bureaucracy, the mods get bored or have nothing todo and feel like they have to start messing with things, you can only talk about truck for so long before you start thinking, hey what can i do to make this site better, but what thought that doesn't cross their mind is most people are already happy with the forum and that's why we're here, i see no point in this why not ban the first dude who posted it? everyone else is either trying to help steer people away or doesn't understand what spam looks like on a forum......pointless the way they are handling it. personally i've only been banned for being a jerk and pretty much deserved it the one time cjflyer banned me, thai on the other hand banned me just becuase he got a wild hair and didn't like the beat down he got, but later reversed that decision so no hard feelings in the long term, but i have noticed some of the mods do ban people frivolously....to be honest i'm even kind of scared posting in this thread, lol

haha that was me. I didn't get banned. :knocks on wood: I don't understand why either. Maybe it means if someone replys with something like "buying now" encouraging it, then I can see that....instead replying marking it as spam...

Best thing is just to click the warning sign under their avatars and report their asses.
