AISIN Door Checks
Replaced my door checks today, as they were making a terrible creaking/popping sound when opening both front doors. I bought the AISIN door checks from RockAuto and they appear identical to OEM, part numbers DCT-017-1 (right) and DCT-018-1 (left). Wouldn't surprise me if they were the OEM manufacturer. They were around $16 each plus shipping, cheaper than anywhere else.
Install went pretty smoothly, except for I had a hard time disconnecting the larger electrical connector on the driver's side door. It...just...would...not...budge. I actually had to first unscrew the entire window switch assembly from the door, then work on the electrical connector until it finally came free. I may have been doing something wrong, but it sucked. Other than that though, the job went well and the doors work great again!
