Like you said, it is like getting paint to stick to a knife edge. If they aren't too big, and that area isn't so noticable, I would almost say to touch them up with a sharpie marker. I know it isn't the perfect solution, but for where (I think) they are, it would work. For some reason, the paint on my 4Runner has chipped so much easier than any other vehcle I have owned. It pisses me off, but I love the truck so much, all I will do is piss and moan to myself.......and you guys.
