Has anyone seen any door handle scratch guards (aka "Door Handle Inserts") for the 4th Gen 4R that protect/cover the area behind the door handle?

They look similar these:

Clear Bra or clear adhesive protection is a great idea! Unfortunately won't do me much good since there's already fingernail scratches (from the other half)... I had got some really nice looking textured black ones for an 88 Grand Am.. just can't seem to find the company that made them. I'll keep everyone posted if I find some for the 4R.

^^Ditto. I have all kinds of scratches behind the handles from the Fiance. Maybe if nothing like this is available for the 4Runner we could all just have our counter-parts wear gloves when entering/exiting the vehicle? :D

Definitely go with the black. Eventhough I have chrome handles, I think that back part looks tacky........especially on a blacked out runner like yours. I don't know if that black vinyl that I used for my eyelids is actually removable, but that might be a pretty sweet option. The color matches so close. Many people looking right at it think that is how the car originally was. Just a thought......good luck and let us know what you decide on.
