I've got 2 door handles with pretty bad scratches behind them, and the other 2 have mild scratches. Would they come out with rubbing compound by chance? Or should I do something else to remove them?
I've had a lot of luck with rubbing compound in the past, if nothing else it will certainly help to blend the scratches and make them less noticeable. Just remember to finish with a coat or two of wax to re-protect the area after.

It works well for what it is. It just fills the scratches. It's held up well so far. If I cared enough I would actually remove the handles and hit it with a good corrective multi-stage compound....but come on its just a 4Runner.
