Door Lights don't work

Anyone had this happen?

I open the door and the lights do not come on but that's not the weird part. My PRNDL doesnt light up until I put it in drive...It's hard to get it in reverse in the dark...

I have the same problem sometimes with my auto shifter. Sometimes it doesnt light up at all. It is annoying in the dark.

Do your interior lights work at all? New bulb/fuse?

Have you tried multiple doors?

I'll try that when I get home. It has an aftermarket keyless entry/alarm that doesnt quite work right...i dunno if that has anything to do with it.

For the door lights check the door jamb switch on the body of the truck on the driver's side that tells the truck if the door is open or not. That went bad on mine. $14 from toyotapartsales.com
