Door lock actuator

I have a 2004 limited with 66k miles. The left rear door lock broke recently. It won't lock or unlock, moves freely. No problems with any if the other locks. I took it to the dealer and I was told that I needed a new door lock actuator. Total cost for the repair is $325. Is this a good price for this repair? I have owned several 4runners and have never had this problem.

It's as good a price as you will find. The other 3 will fail soon.

There's links on this forum showing how to D.I.Y. and save $200+

this could be totally unrelated, but a few days ago I had my front passenger side window down and could not get it to roll up. Every other window worked fine. I tried both driver side and passenger side switches with no luck. I turned off the engine and started it back up. No luck.

I started dinking around with the child safety lock button and after a few minutes, bingo....window rolled up. All I can figure is I must have by accident hit that button. If this was indeed the case, kind of strange though it would lock a window out in the down position. Not much of a safety feature, eh?
