Door lock problem on a 91

The drivers side door lock does not elctrically open all the doors. This feature works on the passenger side door key lock. The inside switch operates all doors from both sides.

Any idea where to begin to fix it?

Check the switch in the passenger door for the lock. That's most likely the problem. You will need to take the door apart and reach inside the door shell to get to it.

First thanks for the response. I am not sure I follow your thinking though. With the problem being the drivers side lock, what about the passenger side should I be looking for? or did you mean drivers side? Can you give a better description of what I am looking for once I get the door apart.

I'll try to descibe the issue again a little more clearly...

When using the drivers side lock with the key the lock will manually open or lock the drivers side door only, but does not open/lock the others electrically as it should. From inside, the drivers side switch will open or lock all doors. On the passenger side both the door lock and inside switch open and lock all doors as it should.

Sorry about the confusion, i meant the driverside door.

First you will need to take the door panel off. Then you will need to pull back the plasic sheet. You should have access to the door lock switch that is in the door by the handle. There should be 3 wires going from that switch. R-W(Lock), R-Y(Unlock), and W-B(Which is ground).

Now to test you will need to disconnect the connector from the key switch on the door. Then check continuity on wires R-Y and W-b while you turn the key to the unlock position. If there is conituity then the switch is working. If there is no continuity then replace the switch.
