Door locks acting weird

So today I was driving home from work and out of no where my door locks started to act weird and unlock on their own.

I've never had any issues with it before. It randomly activates the unlock switch. I was guessing that it was a fuse but I checked them and none of them are blown. But for some reason I couldn't find the door lock fuse.

Any suggestions on what it might be? Or has this happened to anyone else

Have you noticed the door locks actuate when you use apply the brakes? When I was test driving the rig I bought, the door locks would open in conjunction with depressing the brake pedal and releasing the brake pedal. I first talked to a mechanic I had used in the past and asked him if he had any clue what could cause it and he had no idea.

So, since I knew it had something to do with the brake pedal, I looked under the dash and sure as shit, there was a bundle of wires that were rubbing against the brake pedal return spring. When I pulled the bundle away from the spring, one of the outer most wires in the bundle had a 1mm section of bare wire exposed from the return spring rubbing against it over time. I figured this wire must be for the door locks and when the spring rubbed against it, it was grounding out and actuating the locks. I covered the bare section of wire with electrical tape, pulled the wire bundle away from the spring with a zip tie and the problem was fixed. I was so stoked I fixed it in literally 5 minutes.

Look under the dash and see if you're experiencing the same issue.

Thanks for the advice, I checked and I don't have any bare wires or loose fittings under The dash but since you brought that up, I do have a bundle of wires inside the door panels from the speakers that I installed. I might take the door panels apart and see if maybe it's something under there.

Also since it was worried I went out turned on the truck and sat there to see if I could hear anything else happen and I started to hit the lock and unlock switch on the driver door and for some reason the doors wouldn't lock unless I hit the switch 3-4 times. The truck was on the whole time too. So hopefully it's just something in the door panel

I have trouble actuating them when it is hot ~95+ and in the sun. No problems at other temps. However. after I got the 4runner, which was in the fall with cooler temps, I did have to replace the passenger side front actuator with one from a wrecked 4runner off ebay. It seems that if one is bad, they all unlock after attempting to lock them with the fob or the door switch. The bad can still lock by manually pushing it down.

Mine does the same thing past about 90 degrees. I'll check out the actuators. Just chalked it up to being a salty old ride.
