door locks stuck

Ok so I have begun to clean and fix up my 87 t4r and for some reason the locks on both doors are stuck in the up position and don't move. I searched for something about it elsewhere on this forum and nothing. I haven't taken any thing apart yet i was just wondering if anybody has had the same problem and if so how to fix and if not ill keep posted on how I fixed it thanks again .:driving:

I had the same problem in my Corolla, except it was my back doors stuck in a lock position. My dad recommended spraying WD40 down the lock, in hopes it would clean up the locking mechanism. After a couple sprays in the crack, the lock freed up. I haven't had them get stuck again. Although, I tried the same thing in my Land Cruiser, and it did not do anything. Worth a try though, and wont hurt anything.

hey thanks Im gonna try that i figure worst case ill take off the door panels and look at everything. Ill keep posted that way if anybody has this happen it will be in the search. thanks again

Happened to my rear driverside door a few months ago, I took the panel off and wiggled everything around, put the door panel back on and it started working lol. Hopefully yours is equally simple.

i probably wont get that lucky. I took my rear lift gate apart today to free up the left side cable and try and get it to latch and its froze up oh well ill get it all working my baby's worth it
