Door Speakers

Ive got a 01 4runner and my question is does anyone know what size the front door speakers are?
Crutchfield says 6 1/2, 6 3/4, 5 1/4....will all fit....im sure they will but does anyone know which fits exactly w/out brackets?

Also... i know components go upfront.... would this be the same as just putting 2way or 3ways there?

Recommend any certain brands?

I just finished installing my system. I have a 97 4runner. I have Infinity 6010 Reference 6.5 Component Speakers in the front doors. They fit in the stock location just fine. And they came with metal rings to make a perfect fit. I suppose the existing opening is actually a 6 and 3/4. In the rear, I have some Pioneer 5.25s. The factory is 4 inches. So you will need some sort of adaptor ring to squeeze. But it isn't hard at all as long as you have a ring. I hope this helps. This forum really helped me with my install. I did the whole system myself. First big project I have ever done.

in on my truck. they sound great! they fit just fine into the stock woofer location. however, i had to break the screens off of the tweeters to fit them into the stock location.
