Door switches are hard to find!

I have a 2003 SR5 and I don

I'm sad to say Ruben but all the 4th gens have this same problem. I know the switches by feel, but when I first bought the truck it was very aggravating. I've played with the idea of installing a little led light to illuminate that area but I haven't got around to do it.

Be sure to write Toyota and tell them about it. I complained about it on my buyer's survey. I named the front seat, lack of head room, lack of 5 spd tranny in the 03-04 V6 models, and the inability to lift (4"-6") on this so call 4WD vehicle.

I know.. I am having a hard time with the lighting. I will try to play around with them and maybe I can put some kind of light by the door or somehting like that. I just took my dash board apart and I will try to switch the color in the interior.. will see how that works. It will take some time and money..

I second the lack of a manual trans - a 5 spd would be fine a 6 spd better! Also lack of storage cubbies. I swear my '90 4Runner had more interior space than my '03. Argh and that dual layer storage shelf in back - waste of $ for sure. Oh add integrated in dash electric brake controller of a trailer. I'd also like to see a teaming with Yakima or Thule for custom sports roof top fittings.

I do NOT understand why Toyota does NOT offer the same 6 spd manual tranny that is offered in the 2005-06 Tacoma. It uses the same 4.0L V6 as the 4Runner.
I also agree about the interior space of the Runner. Toyota will most likely improve the size of this truck with the 5th generation comes about in 09-10 model year especially since the new RAV is almost as big as the Runner (72.0 cubic ft. of storage w/both seats folded versus 75.0 cubic ft. for the Runner). `

i agree i cant stand the button location. i allways end up hitting the rear ones instead of the front.

Anyone have a solution for this

Anyone solve the door light switch lumination? Is the switch a one solid unit or are there gaps that would light up if an led was wired in the door under the switch.
