ON- by the looks of your rig and the fact that you are in MD taking them off isnt really serving a great purpose. If you were lifted and running the more difficult trails and needed every inch of visibility then go ahead and take them off. Personally my option would be for half doors or tube doors as I don't think them being completely off looks that great.

Now that you have had a few negative replies remember you asked for the opinions. In the end it is your vehicle and you can drive and wheel it however you want.

As far as falling out going 70 down the highway you don't have to worry about that if everyone is wearing seat belts.

i actually love your idea pikeman, of the tube doors, like on some of the new 4 door jeep wranglers, they look so sick! never seen them on a 3rd gen 4runner though, pretty different approach if you ask me, haha but cool also

Cool idea for summer, who doesnt like no doors? But your rig still looks a little too stock right now for doors off, so get a lift and bigger tires and take em off! Otherwise id say keep them on.

Well wtf lmao.. Negative feedback is never a bad thing- and atleast some were funny... I took them off only because I hate jeeps and thats one of the only things they got on me, so i figured why not. granted it would look better if the truck wasnt so stock but its still fun to ride around without them.. The tube doors sounds like a great idea tho I havent seen them on a 3rd gen yet. Any pics?

that is an awesome idea, i love being able to drive around with no doors.... on the other hand as hepar said so well, it does look like something is missing. i say to hell with what people say, enjoy the good weather while you can and air out your runner

Here is jmoney's tube doors for his 3rd gen. http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/86616-j-money-build-thread-3.html I think tube or half doors would be sweet, but the limiteds are too luxury for no doors.

Thanks I LOVE wheeling doorless. Its really nice. I dont like driving without them, but wheeling is way funner. Im hoping to start rear doors and add mirrors to my fronts tomorrow. Here are a couple wheeling pics from this weekend wheeling the newly re-opened Holcomb creek trail. I went with two tacomas and both were also running tube doors. One actually tipped into a rock with the tube doors. he was stoked that he made them the night before.

anyways I say go doorless if you want. Its not a style contest, just really fun

If your going to run doorless, go ahead and pull your bumpers off, the tailgate and the hubcaps. It will give it the ultimate offroad look for viability and increased approach and disembark angles...

Hubcapless will make your will wheels very bajaassnius...

But seriously, your only half way through. Hell, you will even improve your gas mleage at the same time getting rid of that weight.

Btw, looks like crap. Hopefully, you didn't ruin your doors taking them off

:wtf:

Thanks for your opinion, but i dont get the gas mileage and all that BS.. No one mentioned saving gas etc. Your tripping out on the negative stuff.

Its not a style contest for me. I really dont care what my 4runner looks like. Its for wheeling, and thats basically it. Plus its super easy to put the normal doors back on. I takes less than 5 minutes per side. If it made the day more fun then it was 100% worth it
