I was wondering if anyone knew (for certain) what material the double-decker cargo shelf is made of? I assume it's particle board or cardboard of sorts, but haven't drilled into it yet and there doesn't seem to be any non-carpeted area showing.
I'm planning on mounting a couple of thru-axle mounts to keep the bikes inside during bad weather and was just going to attach the mounts to the shelf with some inserts if the material will support.
