Double Din Install Kit

Eclipse decks are made to fit perfectly in Toyota's... You can use the brackets on stock radio.. I believe you can even use the steering wheel controls because it plugs right into the back of the Eclipse deck..

LizardKing, I noticed your avatar. Are you affiliated with eclipse somehow? If so do you know when the AVN 5495 is coming out?

That's neat, hkccool98, good find. I just emailed the seller to find out if those brackets allow 2 single DIN units to be installed, as well as allowing a single 2-DIN head unit. Looks like they also cover up the gaps on the left/right sides of the units too.

A friend of mine sells Eclipse products and I love Eclipse products very high quality. As for the 5495 you can order from a Eclipse dealer I just checked about 1 hour ago. Price is $2400

Lizardking, you said that these units are compatible with the stock steering wheel controls. Do you know this for a fact. I have been waiting for this 5495 to come out for a while. I almost pulled the trigger on the 2435 but I found out this one would be out soon.

I can't confirm this but Eclipse designs there products to intergrate with Toyota my buddy who is the dealer tells me...

I just talked with a car toys rep. He said the avn 5435 could not use the stock steering wheel controls. I would have to use the infared. This really sucks. I am so pissed. I am going to keep calling around though. Because, that is not the answer I wanted.

Not sure if I believe him! I will find out when I get my 5495. Fujitsu-Ten is Eclipse and that's who makes Toyota headunits..If you look at Eclipse pictures its always in a Toyota..

Is this true? I don't need any bezel or anything, it will just fit right in..?

It's a DD deck so you won't need anything. Any DD deck I have installed I was able to use the stock brackets.. DD decks are pretty much standard...

But the 4-runner has a wider opening than standard DD, so what about that?

I believe that only depends on what model of factory stereo you have.. I know I have the standard radio (non jbl) so I know it will fit perfectly.. As for you guys with the wider radio I'm not sure if the Eclipse deck comes with spacers. I never opt for the cheap factory premium sound system if I can get away with it.. It's usually a $1000-$2500 option that is just plain junk compared to what you can get aftermarket for the same money..

Eclipse told us (at CES) that the steering wheel remote will plug in the back and work with the new avn. You will not need brackets as the original will bolt right up. you will need those add on pieces to fill the gaps. You can also get them from toyota. Your dealer can give you the part number.

The dimensions on the Eclipse DD deck are 7"w 4"h 6.5"d. Check the measurements of you radio to ensure it will fit if its to short then get the brackets mentioned above..

Good info!! Thanks I just did some measurements and the stock base unit on the 4runner is around 8inches and I believe the premium decks are longer then that..

Add-on units to fill gaps? You mean those brackets that hkccool98 posted earlier in this thread? Or something different? That's news to me... got a P/N and price on those?

If the steering wheel control harness fits, shouldn't the factory wiring fit all together? I doubt that is the case...
