Double DIN Reciever Recommendations?

I'm looking to replace my CD/cassette factory receiver in my 2003 4runner. I don't need a DVD player. Just something I can plug my iPhone into. Anyone have any recommendations (Double DIN preferred)? Any pictures would be great as well.

Looks real nice, but a bit out of my price range at the moment. It'd definitely be a huge upgrade from my deck with the cassette to ipod adapter cable sticking out. Thanks for the rec and post.

You'd be surprised how cheap you could get a DVD player for that also has iPod control:
PIONEER AVH-P2400BT DVD CD RECEIVER 5.8" MONITOR BUILT IN BLUETOOTH AVHP2400BT B on eBay!

I don't know anyone that has a double-din aftermarket radio that is not also a DVD/nav and who also doesn't drive an 80s Cadillac with the curb feelers on the bumper.

But, if all you want to do is integrate your iPhone, then I'd just get an iPhone adapter.

Something like this:

USA SPEC PA15-TOY 1998-2011 Toyota 4Runner iPod Radio Interface with text 824254070202 | eBay

but you could get a quality aftermarket single-din Pioneer with ipod control for around $100.00

..and good luck getting an aftermarket Double-din to fit an 03-05 4runner. I had a hell of a time getting my Nav/DVD to sit right in my 04. Couldn't find a double-din install kit anywhere. There's plenty for the 06-09
03-05 has a different radio surround.

I had to modify an 06-09 kit and modify the radio surround to make it fit.

Interesting about the console plastics changing in 06. Hadn't heard that before.

OP. If you have a JBL synthesis (which I don't think you do) you'll want/need one of these.

So what *is* your price range? What are the critical features it has to have? We can make suggestions then.

I am looking at Pioneer models...AVH P3400BH. Pioneer has a number of models in this line from basic to fully loaded. The 3400 is middle imo, I don't need a lot of bling/etc. Price is running $300+ online. Let us know what u get and install pics if you can.

What dash kit is that?

Since I have been told my deck is bad I've been looking at pioneer ones. Many at the avh-p1400. seems like a good bang for the buck.
