double electric fans

I recently did the electric fan conversion due to the fan impeller out of balance the fan clutch went bad and that damn fake pulley trouble. The dan itself cools when driving with the AC on but when I m stuck in heavy traffic just not enough . I thought a new 18inch Hayden fan would work - mistake. I have seen the double Taurus fan setup with a custom shroud. I am hoping someone would chime in and share their opinion/ experience ?

you need to look at CFM rating not just amount of fans.
If i were in your situation i would just get two high CFM mishimoto fans. i have one on my car and when i tested it on the floor it was so powerful i couldn't lift it off the floor.

You need to check out your entire cooling system. You shouldn't be having these problems with a stock fan much less larger aftermarket ones.

everthing new

New engine, new radiator, new thermostat did the electric fan mod out of necessity - bad fan clutch, cracked fan blade- whle the engine was rebuilt- need to protect my investment. The aftermarket Hayden just does pull enough- Have to give the 95 taurus 4r200 cfm fan a try

does the thermostat have a weep hole some after market ones do not and will reek havoc on your cooling without it.

try installing a 160 degree thermostat its cheap and easy.

A lot of the Ranger guys use Taurus fans with good results. The temp gauge in my Taurus drops right down to half when the fans kick in with ac on and sitting in traffic so they do pull a lot of air.
