I don't know if it's just me, but he annoys the heck out of me. I don't know if it's his voice or how he reviews older model vehicles, but I just can't stand to watch his youtube channel.

I think Doug makes a good point regarding the FJ. It would be great if it came back, but if it did, it would probably cannibalize 4Runner sales. The FJ was as victim of bad timing. Hell, I even though that Toyota would cancel the 4Runner several years ago, but here we are.

Doug is alright, I can think of other car reviewer on Youtube that are downright annoying. I remember in the 80s (when i was a kid) looking forward to John Davis and Motorweek. Hard to believe, but Jeremy Clarkson started in the early 80s as well, but the BBC wasn't available to the US mainstream at the time. Fast forward to the 2000s when May and Hammond teamed up with Clarkson and the rest is history. I watch the Grand Tour (can't stomach TopGear now) even though they don't reviews cars like Motorweek does.

The comments on his videos are just as annoying.

However, his videos do give a good overview of features when I want to know more about a flashy vehicle that I will never own or be inside (I suspect this is what most people watch his channel for).
